“Kyle’s distinctive artistic style brought so much character to Workco, from the big feature wall over the lounge to the lily-pad lake by the entrance. He put tremendous care into every detail and was committed to making sure each mural felt right for the space. Originally painted by Wetiko in 2018 and renovated in 2026, this nearly 3,000 sq ft wall in Pocket Park off Michigan Avenue brings inspired eyes peering out from a collage of flowers and geometric shapes into the heart of Dearborn.

With the Detroit City Football Club arena just down the street, the team became the theme: crimson and gold with the iconic Spirit of Detroit.

Commissioned through the Detroit Institute of Arts' Partners in Public Art program, Echoes Over Grosse Ile honors the island's aviation history: the former Naval Air Station, the aircraft that filled its skies, and the aviators, service members and community who shaped it. The wall is personal, too. Wetiko's mother lived on Grosse Ile as a young woman while his father served in the U.S. Navy, and the piece follows the threads of memory and family that run through much of his work.
